The idea of handpainting the oysters with a typical blue color emerged during a creative workshop in Oktober 2015. This creative idea has since grown into a thriving business in 2019. Spreading our pieces of art around the globe.

Our artists are based in the province of Zeeland, and along the Dutch coast, in the proximity of the sea. That's where the oyster shells are found. And we give them a new life. All based on what nature brings. The shells are provided with a beautiful Zeeland Blue touch. They find their way worldwide.

The Zeeland ships of the VOC (united East Indian Company) bought the blue porcelain in China. In Delft, The Netherlands, blue pottery industry was born. Now we are painting blue oyster shells in Zeeland - favouring the beauty of blue on white, in a different and new way .
